Great rice cooker - read the instructions for success!!
I purchased this rice cooker from a local retailer and tried it out for the first time with brown rice. I was so excited to be able to make brown rice in 20 minutes!! Sadly, my first batch of rice was a hard, crunchy, inedible mess.

What I realized is that the instructions on the product are for an 800 watt microwave and my home microwave is 1000 watts. I also found that for most rices that are not plain long-grain rice, you do need to add more water than they recommend. By setting my microwave to 80% power and adding about 1/4 cup more water than recommended on the product instructions, I was able to make fluffy, delicious wild rice last night in just about 25 minutes.

I purchased this thinking it would be great to make cooking rice quicker. I followed the not-very-good instructions that came in the package - set my timer for 19 minutes to make 1/4 cup of brown rice and when I checked on the microwave at minute 14, the bottom of the rice cooker had melted and was sticking to the inside of my microwave. 40 minutes later with most of it cleaned up, I was cranky. I returned the cooker and the staff said they love this and had used it very successfully at the store. So I got another one and tried again. This time, in an abundance of caution, I set my microwave to 60% power. I added the right amount of water and set the timer to 8 minutes. When I checked, all the water was gone, so I added another cup and set the microwave again for another 5 minutes - when I checked again, all the water was gone again and the rice was still way too al dente. I ate it anyway.
Tonight I tried again - I used 60% power - I checked after 9 minutes - this time it was...

Microwave rice cooker
I was looking for a rice cooker for small quantities.. And find this one on the internet. I was a little skeptical but when used for first time it really works. Cooks rice on the kicrowace and now i an able to cook for one or two people quantities. Totally recommended.
