PEB2060SMSS GE PROFILE SERIES Countertop Microwave Oven Stainless Steel

Worst Ever!
Purchased this microwave a little over a year and half ago, after much research, looking for the best. Consumer Guide rated it highest among those rated so I felt it would surely last and be worth the extra money. I was so wrong. One month after we owned it the power source went out and had to be replaced. A bit of a headache but the warranty paid for the parts and labor. A few months later it completely stopped working in the middle of preparing dinner. The warranty again covered the repairs but we had the hassle of taking it to the repair shop and being without a microwave, once again, for several weeks while it was being repaired. Two weeks ago while re-heating food the oven "burst" into flames. Thank God my husband was there and able to reach the plug to disconnect it from the outlet and to smother the flames with a damp towel. The microwave filled the kitchen with noxious smoke and fumes before my husband could get it out of the house. Needless to say, even if the now-expired...

I hope I got the only bad one made
I purchase a Panasonic Model NN-T984 4 years ago. It was suppose to be a top model. It sure cost like one. Four years later, it is dead. I just bought a GE PEB2060, another one that was suppose to be one of the best. It was bad right out of the box. I have heard bad news about Sharp, so now it's what to buy? None seem to be very well made. I think that they all come off the same assembly line in China. When heating a beverage in the GE, after about 10 seconds, it stops with F4 in the display with 4 beeps. Of course the printed in China manual doesn't cover this error. It goes back to Home Depot tomorrow.

Works great but doesn't last!
This oven worked perfectly for a year and then the power suppy went. It should have lasted much longer as I have had cheaper models last better than this one.
