Whisper quiet and perfect for the office.
I really like this fan. I bought it because my other desk fan was so noisy, everyone complained when I turned it on. Even I couldn't stand it. This one I can barely hear and I've got it about 2 feet away from me. The fact that it has no grill also makes it very easy to keep clean as well as nothing to bar the flow of air. It's got nice heft to it, doesn't look or feel cheaply made. I also like that I can point the fan straight up if I want some air movement but no air blowing directly on me, unlike most fans that are very limited in their movement. I really like this color as well, a rich cranberry color, not even as bright as the photo here, which is more like a fuchsia, if that's important to you. And the price is right.

These are great little fans for desk top use. Works great at the computer desk. Does not move a lot of air. I have used one of these every day for a year. It still works like a champ.
Perfect for cubicle air flow
The instructions say the fan is designed to create air flow in the specific direction it is pointed. I have mine in my work cubicle pointing right at me to create some air movement: from 2.5 feet away set on low speed there is a nice air flow, which is how it is set up in my cubicle. The fan is not strong enough to bounce wind off the walls and does not disperse air flow to a wide area.
Great design, looks good sitting on my side desktop; the cloth fan blades are safe and clever. Think about what your cooling needs are before you buy; this fan does an excellent job at what is was designed to do, a small personal fan that creates air flow in a specific direction. I have been using mine for about 2 years and it still works fine.
