SAMPLE: Standard LeafsOut Micro Mesh Gutter Guard. Stainless steel leaf guard gutter cover shields out debris. Fits 5 inch gutter, 6 inches long.

A little purchase before a big one.
From everything that I have read, this is a good product.

That said, I wanted to judge for myself how strong and how well it works so I ordered a sample.

One of my big concerns was whether it could handle a snow load without deflecting or at least much.

The ridges give it incredible strength. It will flex but the gutters will come off of the house before the screens sag more than a quarter of an inch.

I was also concerned about the screens clogging. I scooped a bunch of the grit and slime out of one of my gutters and smeared it onto the test piece.

Most of it washed away. Some stuff did sit at the bottom edge but I was impressed enough to order 300 feet to try it on the house.

I will post a review again after I get it installed.

The ONLY gutter filter to buy!
Don't waste your time and money with other gutter filters! This stainless steel micro-mesh screen does everything you are looking for. It keeps out everything, including small needles and even asphalt shingle grit. The leaf guard rounded type gutter filter not only doesn't keep out small leaves and needles, it makes it harder to clean them out once they are in there. The foam type (which I tried first, starts degrading and crumbling after about a year. Plus, squirrels pull it out looking for seeds and small nuts.

These stainless steel screens are sturdy and edged with aluminum strips that can easily be trimmed with a pair of good sheet metal snips and vise-grips. The screen cuts easily with a good pair of scissors. A word of advice: use high quality tools. Cheap tools will frustrate you as they end up bending the aluminum instead of snipping, and stretching the screen instead of cutting (snips don't cut the screen well, scissors do). I have wooden gutters and while these...

Worth ordering before purchasing a kit
Wasn't sure which size I would need so ordered one 5" and one 7" to make sure before ordering the 25ft kit. For the price, it is worth spending a few dollars to know for sure what is required. Also, gave me a real idea of the construction of the sections and how to install before hand.
