Filter works great.
My Dyson DC-14 had lost a lot of power. I bought new filters and it works great again. The seal on this product is separate and not attached as in the picture.
My Dyson Animal runs like new
My Dyson Animal was purchased the year it was made - 2001. The first couple of years it went in for preventative maintenance which meant a thorough cleaning and replacement of the filters. When the contract ran out, I did not renew. I have been using this vacuum weekly. I have both a coal stove and a dog who sheds the equivalent of a small cat weekly. The vacuum had lost significant suction. If found myself going over the same piece of lint several times to pick it up. The power of the cylonic action seemed to have been greatly reduced as well.
Although we regularly take out the other filter (pre filter) which can be washed, this one is paper and can only be replaced. Not happy with any of the new vacuums on the market, I decided to replace all of the filters, seals and waste bin (the hinged bottom release had broken.) I also took the vacuum completely apart and washed everything I could separate from the motor. (Not easy to do with this model.)...
Filter is as described and worked great.
The filter arrived quickly and as described. Just applied the foam adhesive seal that came in two half circle sections and installed the filter in my Dyson vacuum.
