Not Quite As Advertised
The product description says that it will fit windows up to 40" wide. It does not. You'll have a 2" to 3" gap on both sides of your window if you try to install it in a window 40" wide. Beyond that...I'd say you can probably find a better quality fan anyway. The construction feels kind of cheap.

Very Low Quality
I was very disappointed in this fan. Right out the box I noticed that it looked like a cheap plastic fan.
It looks better in the picture. I tried it anyway. As soon as I turned it on one of the two fan motors made a whining noise when running.
The motor noise was just too much to bear and I had to return it to Amazon for a refund.
I would try another fan from Amazon of from a local store where you can get a better idea of the quality.

Very poor quality product
Ok so I was looking for a couple twin window fans. Generally I follow amazon review recommendations like its my job, however I did not with this product. Despite the overwhelmingly large number of bad review my thought process went like this "This fan is $30 and has 9 inch blades, most of the other fans have 7 or 8 inch blades and are twice the price.... even if it lasts just 6 months this would be the better deal". Well I still hold true to that thought process..... except one of the two fans was dead on arrival. The left fan blade did not spin. So I returned that and kept the working one. Then around noon the next day I heard a funky noise and checked out my lone surviving fan. What did I see but a single fan spinning. The left blade of the twin fan stopped working just like the one that arrived DOA the previous day.

In short I ordered 2 of these twin fans and sent back 2 of these twin fans in two days because the left fan blade on each did not work...

Bissell 77F8 Accessory Pack for Zing Bagged Canister Vacuums

Good sweeper filters and bags.
I have so enjoyed having my new little sweeper. It's easy to tote around and it's not very heavy. The attachments work so well
and it's easy to get the bags in place and the filters. Really handy for quick pick up or larger.

The Waste King 9950 Legend Series 3/4 HP Disposer is an OUTSTANDING deal because:
#1: It has a 10 year in-house warranty
#2: It can be easily mounted on an existing ISE (InSinkErator) sink flange,
or by using the 3 bolt flange that comes with it.
#3: The 1/2 HP Waste King 9930 that sells for about $30 less, has only a 5 yr in-home service warranty.

From my perspective, the mounting flange used by a Garbage Disposer is an IMPORTANT consideration - - because all my properties have ISE (InSinkErator / Badger / Kenmore) QuickLock mounting flanges. Under NO circumstances do I ever want to remove these existing flanges - because it would be time...

Waste Queen loves her Waste King
We self-installed this 3-bolt version Waste King 9950 together. She stayed up top and took care of holding the sink flange in place, handing me tools, etc. The 2 of us agreed it was actually fun to install together. Yea, weird, I know. The instructions are well written and included carefully designed illustrations, which is great. Another bonus is that the sink mounting parts (collars, washers, flanges, etc) all came pre-assembled in the correct order, which helps make things so easy to understand. The whole process took us about an hour and 15 minutes, including removal of the stubborn old unit. Yes, all the parts are in the box, including the "L" drain pipe and flange (for connecting the disposer to the drain pipe), shiny new sink flange, rubber splash guard, drain plug, 31" electrical cord already attached with plug, etc...The only things not included are the plumber's putty and the rubber dishwasher connector sleeve. We were able to reuse the old sleeve from the previous...

Excellent disposal
Men, read this. Women, skip to second part.
Read the freaking instructions guys. Don't do anything until you read them in their entirety. That is unless you have already installed a similar disposal before.

This disposal, after reading the instructions, was easy to install and ran like a charm the first go around. I have been tearing apart all sorts of things my wife doesn't want me to throw down the drain and it has been working just fine. I chose this disposal because my plumber recommended it.

6 x Kaz WF2 Humidifer Wick Wicking Filter [Health and Beauty]

Still wish they lasted longer!
This contains my previous reviews of the same product that used to be a three pack sold through Amazon(now sold as single Protec WF2 Extended Life Replacement Humidifier Filter through outside retailer). This purchase was a bulk 6 x single filter through AmericanWholesale. Shipping through them was only $1.99, extremely quick and made me up my review 1 star. I also use the ProTec Humidifier Tank Cleaning Cartridges. A 2 pack will just last me the winter months. They do help keep the water cleaner and the filters lasting about 6 weeks each.
Old reviews: I purchase these every year for my Vicks humidifier. I have spent way beyond what the machine itself cost me on filters. Each filter lasts about a month to 6 weeks before getting moldy and stops wicking the water. I only use the humidifier for about 4 months in the Winter, which a 3 pack of filters is good for. I would use it all year if I did not have to keep replacing the filters. If someone knows a better choice of longer...

Good filters
This was a great price for a 6-pack of these filters. They are necessary for the humidifier, but they do have a short life span. It's just part of the reality for them. We use only filtered water to fill the tank, open the top and leave it open to the air during the day, and try to clean out the unit reasonably regularly. This lengthens the lifespan, but unfortunately you just have to get used to them needing to be replaced.

Good product
Our family has been using these filters for our 3 year old for over a year now as he as asthma. Each filter lasts us just over 2 weeks (we use humidifier every night and at nap time). Never had any problems and we recently noticed that we're saving money by buying filters on Amazon and not Wal-Mart.

Amazon keeps listing it as something I should review so here it is:
This is a bracket. It holds the purifier to the wall. It is a little lame they charge for a simple bent piece of metal. It does what it should as the purifier has yet to fall off the wall.

$9.95?
I like the purifier. But, why isn't this thin piece of flimsy metal included with the $550 product for which it is intended?

Should not have to pay extra.
The product does what it is supposed to do, but I'm giving the company one star for not including this cheap strip of metal with all of their purifiers. It is beyond ridiculous to charge people an additional $10 to hang their expensive filters on a damn wall.

Euro-Pro HEPA Filter for Stick Shark EP600

Works wonders!
I had a hard time finding this product so I was very happy to get it and it works great!! My other filter was getting pretty bad and when I replaced it with this new one, I couldn't believe how much it picked up the dirt, lint, dog hair, etc.!

I have a Shark Euro Pro vacuum that came with the Hepa filter and it needed replacing. Since Shark doesn't make these vacuums anymore as far as I know--it was good to find the part. I ordered the two dust cup filters at the same time and I am using those. Don't really think you need a HEPA on this little vacuum--the dust cup filters work fine and you clean them each time. I only use this vacuum for quick clean ups and on stairs, etc. so HEPA is sort of overkill. But being able to find parts like this on Amazon is a great thing! Who can drive around to parts stores for vacuums and hope they have these types of things???

Panasonic "Jet Force Bagless" Upright Vacuum Cleaner MC-UL425, Dynamic Blue & Black finish

Great vacuum from Panasonic - lightweight, lossless suction comparable to Dyson. But read on for side-by-side comparisons...
We tested *most* of the top-selling vacuums on Amazon, in side-by-side tests. First, two observations:

(1) Dyson is not the "best" vacuum ever made, but they do have the best marketing. If you're looking for the "best" vacuum, let's reframe the question a little bit - perhaps what's the best vacuum under $500 or under $1000? If you're looking for the "best", be prepared to spend a minimum of $2,000-$3,000 for a commercial upright or whole-house system.

(2) About rating systems - only side-by-side comparisons make sense to us. A friend owns a Ferrari, and complains about expensive tune-ups. He would give his Ferrari 3 stars on a bad day, 4 stars on a good day. My dad really likes his Hyundai, and would give it 5 stars. Does that make Hyundai better than Ferrari? We believe only in comparing apples to apples.

Wish we could just say "XYZ is the best at everything, buy it!" ... but the fact is, each vacuum has its pros and cons. Some are better at area...

Great Vacuum
Purchased this vacuum in August 2012...I would rate it highly. Only complaint is that the top round 4 inch filter on the unit seems to get dirty rather quickly (which probably means it's working fine to trap dust). All you have to do is wash it out with water to clean it...the problem is that it takes forever for it to dry out (24 hours is suggested). Thus you can't use the vacuum until that filter is completely dry. I ended up having to purchase a second filter, which I can pop in while the first one is drying, should you want to use the vacuum again in less than 24 hours.
Took me awhile with Panasonic on the phone to get the part number and finally get it ordered. (Part Number: AC44KDMTZOOO Price: $11.44 plus shipping and tax)

GE Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve WD15X10003

Excellent Price
I agree with the other review posted. My GE dishwasher was no longer filling with water. Googled troubeshooting tips and determined I had a bad inlet valve. Tried to pick one up at several local stores, and all they were offering to do was to order it directly from GE for approximately $60.00, plus an additional $15.00 shipping! Found the part through Amazon, placed my order, and received it within a week. Installed the part and everything is working fine. Best part: cost about 1/2 of what I would have spent ordering through GE, Sears, or any of the brick & mortar stores in my area.

Great fan looks to be built very well also Made in USA it moves alot of air its not for small rooms. Would of given it a 5 Star rating but the fans Low Setting is not very Low and could use little longer power cord. The Low and Medium setting are almost no difference. Miserable quality control
After receiving two out of three of these fans with serious defects, I am forced to conclude that this product is made with zero quality control.

The first fan I ordered arrived with minor shipping damage. However the distributor cheerfully sent me replacement parts without charge, and other than this the fan looked great and ran quietly and powerfully. So I ordered another one. However, the second fan arrived with a bizarre defect: it looked like one of the blades had been bent with a pair of pliers! That a fan looking like this could leave the factory should have been a red flag to me. But since Amazon was willing to replace it without cost and my first impression had not quite been broken, I accepted a replacement, tested both fans again, and then put them away until the summer.

Well, now the summer has come, and guess what? Soon after beginning to use one of the fans I watched it slow down, pick up speed (but not to its prior speed), and then begin to...

Great while it lasted
I use a fan to sleep at night. Box fans today are poorly built and don't last more than a few months before they start sounding really stupid. I was looking for a different kind without a rattle, whine or shutter. and thought maybe a floor fan would work. I tried the "Workforce" model of floor fan in the store (no comparable model from Amazon) and it rattled badly. The only other thing I found was a display mode of the Maxx Air and it sounded great. No rattle, nice and consistent - rather like an airplane propeller. Later that day, I gave it a try to sleep with.

After about 20 minutes on high, it made a peculiar grinding noise several times, like something got into the motor, then settled down and ran solidly for several more hours and I actually slept pretty well for the first time in two weeks. But when I shut it off, instead of spinning down slowly, the blades came to a rather abrupt halt and it wouldn't start again without a push. The motor was extremely hot to...

Peak PKC0JH 12 Volt 6" Clip-on Fan

Very Powerful, Durable DC Fan for Your Car
Living in Arizona without back seat AC, the kids in the backseat have to sweat through every car ride in the summer. This fan is perfect. It plugs rights into the car charger, can clip to the headrest post or the coat hanger and blows vigorously enough cool the whole back row. Since we purchased it a few months ago, the fan has been tossed, crushed, and dropped and has withstood all of it. Especially for the price, if you need a fan for your car, this is a bargain.

The only complaint that I had was needing to assemble the clip on assembly when the fan arrived, but this only took a few minutes. Also beware with small children, the space between the wires on the cover are large enough for my one-year-old to slip his fingers in.

Good air flow...VERY LOUD!
If you like fans partially because they are loud (I kind of do) then this is a decent fan. It either oscillates or doesn't and only has one speed. Hooked up to my fluke I measured 1.1A draw (not too bad).

This fan really blows the air around. We are using it in our toy hauler (travel trailer). It is also very noisy but that is what we were looking for. We have a baby and needed some kind of white noise to help him sleep through us coming in at night. It has a very consistant hum.

Lemmie say, I have a lot of experience with air purifiers. I have respiratory issues, and literally have 3 -- er... now 4 -- different ones going right now; Hoover Air Purifier with TiO2 Technology - WH10600, Oreck AirInstinct HEPA Large Room Air Purifier and the Rabbit Air BioGS which no longer seems to be available on Amazon. I'm not surprised, because the Rabbit Air was the least refined of the lot and most expensive in filter replacements. So now I add Therapure to my Boy in the Plastic Bubble lineup. Ok, its not really like that Travolta movie, it just seems that way with all the HEPA filtration we got going on!

A good basic room air filter
This is just what I was looking for. A room air filter that doesn't require replaceable filters. I don't have serious allergy problems
so I can't speak for people that need a super high efficient purifier. Just something to pull ambient dust and pollen out of the air. Its light enough to be lifted to different locations as needed. It can be set to run constantly or to shut off after a specified number of hours. It has 3 speeds and makes the sound of air blowing through a vent (duh!). On low its quiet, on high its louder. Just out of the box it has the strong smell of new plastic (not ozone). This disappears after a couple of days. The only negative so far is the lights on the control panel. If you appreciate a darkened room, they have the effect of a mega night light. And when you opt to turn on the UV function, it lights up like a UFO from "close encounters". This is easily remedied by placing a small dark cloth on top of the unit which blocks the lights. I'll have...

Looks and feels just like the original
My original hose tore. This may be a off brand replacement but it looks, feels, fits, and functions just like the other.

Perfect Replacement
Was a perfect fit and easy to install. I can tell the difference between the original and this replacement except the replacement isn't torn. I highly recommend this product. It is considerably cheaper then ordering from Dyson.

Hoover Type W2 Allergen Filter Bag - Part #401010W2

Avoid hiking up and down the mile long store
After buying a great vacuum Hoover U831900 Windtunnel 2 Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner,I found myself searching for these bags at the stores and sometimes they ran out and it can be tiring walking through a 100,000 square foot store (well these stores might not be a mile long but it feels that way).

At my age, instead of walking through the department stores, it was just so much easier to type W2 Vacuum bag in Amazon, hit one click and with Amazon Prime, the package shows up at my doorstep two day later with zero shipping charges. Much better than going to the store.

These bags are the same that you can find at the store and are made by hoover so they're great and they fit perfect.

Hoover also offers a HEPA bag version which is better Hoover #401080W2 2PK WT2 Replacement Hepa Bag but they're much pricier. You...

Easy shopping for a not-so-available item

Exactly as advertised
I purchased these bags for my W2 Hoover upright vacuum cleaner that I picked up at Costco several years ago. Typical with Costco, the device came with several years worth of bags, which was nice. However, when they ran out I was completely shocked at the price of the cloth replacement HEPA filter bags (they are around $6 to $8 each). In addition to being outrageously over-priced, the cloth replacement bags are also difficult to find in stores. Fortunately I was able to find these mid-grade replacement bags on Amazon. They are considerably cheaper and, in my humble opinion, work just as well as the cloth bags. I bought five packages at around $30 bucks to qualify for free shipping. At that rate each bag cost about $2. The first bag snapped right into the machine and so far is working flawlessly. A very good deal in my opinion.

BUNN VPR Commercial 12-Cup Pour-Over Coffee Brewer, with 2 Warmers

This Bunn may last my lifetime
About 15 years ago, I purchased a Bunn home duty coffee maker and found it to be excellent. After about 5 years of nearly daily use, it started to get a little finicky so I took it apart in an attempt to clean the hot water chamber. Turned out the sealing parts are not really made to be taken apart after 5 years of use and then go back together.

In a quest for a new Bunn, I found that the VPR cost about double what the home version cost so.... 10 years later, the Bunn VPR is still going strong and has helped out at family events serving large groups of people (just what the machine is designed for!). Despite having water poured into the bottom heat plate (don't try to pour water in without a carafe in place), it still works perfectly!

A hint to those who make coffee only on the weekends: the design of the Bunn is that it is a small hot water tank and keeps a couple gallons of water hot and ready to go at all times. This will use some electricity and I've...

When you want the best, buy the commercial Bunn
I have worked in the foodservice industry for years, and the Bunn has always been the standard by which commercial coffeemakers are judged. Years ago, I decided to buy the consumer version for my home, and although it served me well, it eventually wore out and I wanted something better and sprang for the VPR. One nice feature of the Bunn is that you can unscrew the sprayhead, leave the filter basket off and you can instantly have a couple of pots of very hot water available for recipes. I typically buy the gallon size Lipton tea bags, put one in a decanter, run a decanter of water through and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes and add enough water to make a gallon, people love my Iced tea.
If you do unscrew the sprayhead, set it in the screened inlet where you pour the water into the maker, so that you don't inadvertently start a pot of coffee without the sprayhead in place. I did get a steal of a deal on mine new on ebay for $100.00...

misleading write up for VPR Bunn coffee maker
I am very unhappy about the write up on this item. I did not see the notation on the bottom of the page "Please note that the decanters for this unit (Bunn 6100 and 6101 Easy Pour) are sold separately." until the order had been processed. Both Costco and Sams had the same unit with 2 decanters included for less money. In all, this added $75.00 over the units from the other retailers. You should put that info on the top of the page in the description so a consumer can compare "apples to apples" not apples to lemons".

Range Kleen P10124XZ Porcelain Universal Set Of 4 Containing 3 Units P101, 1 Unit P102, Black

Nice looking and so far pretty non-stick..
I've had these quite a few months now and have really put them to the test as I cook at home quite a bit and I'm a pretty messy chef! These look really nice still, and so far have been easy to just wipe out without any staining or stuck on burnt bits that have dripped down from a boiling over pot or slapping-grease frying pan. They make a lot of difference in the appearance of your stove-top range and give the kitchen an over-all cleaner and neater look. They're very shiny black, sort of enameled looking and fit my range well. I've only soaked them twice for about 30 minutes as usually wiping them out with a damp cloth usually gets them clean. I'm pleased with my purchase and would recommend these to others.

Range
The drip pans are exactly what I expected. I clean them regularly, actually immediately, if needed with a soap pad, so that nothing will harden. This will keep them looking nice. I had the same kind of drip pans before (not purchased at Amazon) and they served me for many years.
As far as I know there is nothing better on the market. If there is, please let me know.

Stovetop looks like new
The first set came bent, but Amazon.com is fantastic. Free return shipping for the damaged items. The second set arrived in a day or two. They fit perfectly and look great.

Neato Robotics 945-0079 XV Signature Automatic Robotic Vacuum

Yes, the Neato does occasionally get hung up on floor cables. It can wedge itself into tight spaces and get caught. It is rather noisy, especially when it cleans bare floors. But who cares? This thing cleans as well as a powerful upright (I have a Dyson and a Miele), and it does so with very little human intervention.

The thing is programed and equipped to be tenacious. It really digs in to extract dirt and fur. While it will gently recoil from furniture, it will gamely push aside pillows, slippers, small pet bowls and other light-weight items that might lie in its path. (Once we understood its determination, my wife and I did a much better job of tidying the house and gathering up cords and cables.)

I have three cats. They are terrified when I pull out an upright vacuum. But for some reason they don't mind the Neato. I guess they see it as just another benign creature in the house.

Best Vacuum I could have bought!
I've bought a lot of products, but this if the first I have left a review for. If you are considering a robot vaccum, then look no further then the Neato. I did a lot of research (including talking to several friends that own the Roomba vacuum, and Neato seemed to come out on top. Now that I have been using it, it's better then I expected from the reviews. Suction is fantastic. Navigation is smart (I have a 2,000sq ft home). It has no problem navigating between rooms.

Overall, if you can afford it, buy. You don't think you will be disappointed.

1st robot I've owned, and it's amazing!!!
Using this in a 1000sq foot condo with blend of carpet and wood floor. Programmed it for once weekly cleaning, and then some extra "on demand" cleanings as well. Must keep all electric cords off floor. Using magnetic boundary markers to keep it from getting stuck under our low couch. I hid the boundary markers under carpet, not noticeable but fully functional. I might buy another one of these for my office! Powerful suction, easy to clean filter.

Small Flat Bottom Popcorn Bags, Bundle of 100

Small size and flat bottom make it perfect for volleyball concessions
Popcorn is easy to sell in these bags - the small size and reasonable price, make it sell well. The flat bottom makes it sit on the table on it's own well. The bright color catches the eye.

Great size but....
The bags were the perfect size however at least 1/4 of them were dirty on the outside. A brown substance was quite visible. Good thing we didn't need all 100!

These are great popcorn bags, I used them at an event, they fit about 3 cups of popped popcorn, leaving about an inch on the top so you can fold it.

Hoover Air Purifier - WH10100

Does great for many applications.
I am extremely allergic to dust mite and cats..I own 2 cats. So this machine has alot to live up to. I have owned this for 5 months, and it works just as well as day 1. I also have a bearded dragon and therefore have crickets and super-worms. I put this in the room. within a hr or 2 I didnt smell the bug smell that was kinda offensive..I love this machine and I am extremely glad I took the risk on buying it. Because its quiet and small size it fits in anywhere. I do not even hear it much at night..

Not well designed
Air seeps into the case from seams between metal panels. As a result, the fan pulls air from the filter (the intended way) and the seams on the case (unintended way) and blows the mixture of filtered + dusty air back into the room. I "fixed" the defect by taping the seams on the case. The Hoover engineers could do a better job.

Just what I was expecting.
The unit is small, light, and quite enough. The controls are easy to use and easy to see in the dark. I have yet to clean the pre filter. after about 2 weeks use it appears to be very clean. I will have to refer to the users manual on when to change the HEPA filter. I use the unit about 4 hours a day - and almost exclusively at night. Since moving into our new house I have had sinus congestion every morning. We had a HVAC technician come to the house and monitor the air quality with an air analyzer for 4 days. The results came back negative on mold/spores, excessive dust, or fumes. I figured its because of the new carpet they installed prior to us moving in. Once I got the Hoover Air Purifier and used it for the first night - the results were instant. Much more clear sinuses indeed. As far as for noise, I like to keep the fan level on 1 at night to keep it as quite as possible. The gentle humming is actually somewhat soothing. Level 2 and 3 on the fan does make a bit too much noise...

Black & Decker CTO4500S 6-Slice CounterTop Convection Oven with Pizza Bump, Stainless Steel

It does a good job
We bought this toaster about two months ago, after much research. Our old one was a simple, cheap one from Sunbeam, which lasted about ten years until the lever for toast broke.
I never really wanted a "convection" toaster, but I decided to give it a try because I thought it might save energy when baking. It actually does a very fast job at that, much more efficient than the regular oven we used before.
I used the broiler just once so far and it works well.
Toast is very good: crunchy on the outside, moist inside (but that depends on taste). One gripe is with the knobs, which are hard to grab. The design of the knob is especially annoying in the timer, because it just sort of slides to the desired time, there's no way of precisely selecting the position, like a good stereo knob would. We haven't quite found the best spot on the timer for the perfect toast, I'm having to rely on visual clues and often just take the toast out before the timer rings.

Best choice today, but still not as good as they used to be...
Like most reviewers, I have had many toaster ovens over the years. I typically do not make time for reviews, but thought I had some unique insights on this model.

The good: Looks beautiful, and matches my stainless kitchen. The quartz heating tubes throw a lot of infrared light, much like B&D's Infrawave product. The heating element protectors do a good job of keeping food off, but still letting the light shine through. I like the funky metal arms that pull the tray out. Yes, they look silly, but they pull the tray out when it is hot, yet don't prevent you from grabbing it and pulling it all the way out, and they work in all positions. I have tried all cooking modes, and it does a fantastic job.

The bad: Basically, no new toaster ovens can match the ones that used to be built, and I assume this is due to liability concerns and pricing pressures. My previous toaster ovens had a temperature sensor in toaster mode, while this one only uses time. Toaster...

Better than expected
I've been using this oven for over 2 months now,so far so good. For a 6 slice oven its a good size, not too big.The crumb tray slides out completely, that makes it easy to keep the oven clean.
Please take the time to read the manual. It has a couple of good tips about using the oven.
The toast function is fast. It does not use convection feature for toasting.
I've baked eggplant and butternut squash in it. It takes almost the same time as a normal sized oven, but saves a lot of energy and does a good job. The broil feature works well too.
I'm looking forward to baking pizza in it.

Vornado Evap2 Whole Room Evaporative Humidifier

Extremely Happy
Let me begin by saying that I spent many many hours researching online and looking at units in stores. I knew that I wanted a small unit that had both a humidi-stat as well as an auto function. I purchased this humidifier nearly three weeks ago and it has met and exceeded all of my expectations.

I noticed, during my research, many people experienced issues with unusual smells or leaky water containers. People, read the instruction booklet that comes in the box and have reasonable expectations of the hardware. This unit is solid, perhaps a bit noisy on the high setting. The unit will run for 48 hours before needing to be refilled. I use this overnight and the runtime is about 8-10 hour per on-time ans it's days before I need to refill the tank. Also, the manufacturer has a program that you can sign up for and they will send you replacement filters on the schedule of your choosing and free shipping. What a deal.

I would recommend this humidifier.

I was surprised to find it does not shut off when empty. Don't got out of town, it will run forever.

Extremely Happy
We have a lodge style home, it gets very dry as soon as the heat comes on and we are soon sniffling and experiencing bloody noses. I usually get the ultrasonic type for the bedroom and put up with the white film and sputtering. We started using Vornado fans last year as a method to move air through the large, high ceiling spaces and were very satisfied. The dogs chewed the cord off the humidifier from last year and I thought I'd try this one. It is very nice but as I've read elsewhere and in the manual, it needs to be run full on until the house adapts. THe house is dry too and will soak up the atmospheric moisture until it is equal to the air. With the space and high ceilings I realized I will need another for the living room open area and leave this one in the bedroom. Bought a new home and installed 8 ceiling fans. These Fan Controls are so nice looking and even give you 4 speeds instead of three. It's great too that they fit the decora style switch plate.

Not being in the habit of ordering electrical items online, I did not realize that I needed to order the wall plate separately even though it does say that on the package. Fortunately, the electrician who installed my ceiling fan had a perfect wall plate for it.

Easy to install, works as required
Bought a new house, and the builder installed these switches for all the ceiling fans. In the process of shuffling the fans around, I moved a fan into a room without one of these pre-installed. The switch worked perfectly. Simply install switch, put fan on highest speed setting (using pull cord) then tuck the cord away. Now the fan is completely controlled from the wall.

both broke within 6 months
Edit: My original post is below, here is an update. BOTH stopped working with in 6 months, the uv lights do not turn on and the the fans stopped functioning. One of them just doesn't turn and the other makes a wretched loud nose. Spend a little more and buy something more reliable!

Pro:It seems as though they are working because when I walk it the house instead of it smelling like I have two dogs, all I smell is fresh air.
You ever wake up in the morning and see all the dust flying in the air when the sunlight is coming through your window?.... I used to but now it's not there, no more floating specs!

minor con: The only downside to these units is there is always a fan blowing when unit is on, where most other ionic filters don't actually blow and are pretty much silent. I can hear the fans at night one of them even more so but if you don't mind a little white noise they are awesome. However the fact that one is already acting up does worry me about the...

think small
I should of paid more attention to the size of these units. They are considerably smaller than I had expected. I have both units running in my living room. If the rods are any inclination they do trap dirt and sticky "residue" from the air. Since we have 3 small dogs and two smokers in the house I did expect there to be more on the rods and filters after a week. I would advise using them in small areas were they don't have to deal with excessive amounts of air pollution. I will still have to look for larger units for the house.

Hoover Allergen Final Filter for WindTunnel Vacuums, 2pack, 40110004

Filters
Items received was not what was advertised or pictured. First you do not get the 3 layer/3 color filter you expect to be Hoover. It is all white and thin. Until you read the back of the package it's for use in most Hoover product "EXCEPT" upright wind tunnels. Item is virtually useless and too cheap to bother returning. It went from my mail to trash.

Not sure how much good it does....
Back in the day when I used the Y-allergen paper vacuum bags, I'd always find a significant bit of dirt and dust captured in this final filter. I've always used the allergen-capturing, high-efficiency paper bags so I'm not sure how or why this final filter was always dirty.

Now that I'm using the Filtrete (3M) cloth bags (which capture much more super fine particulate matter), the final filter doesn't get dirty anymore.

So in short, if you're using paper bags with your hoover windtunnel, I highly recommend this very affordable, easy-to-replace, final filter. If you're using the Filtrete bags, you may not even need it.

I ended it returning it to Amazon and finding a replacement filter for my Hoover Wind Tunnel with 3 layers made by 3M at Lowes. Bissell Bare Floor Tool 203-5642

Works great...again
I have been buying and using this tool for years. I have a Bissell Floor Care machine and I use it to clean the slate tile in the kitchen. It easily pops/snaps on to the front of the floor cleaner and usually lasts for about 9-12 cleanings before the sponge part starts to fall apart. Because it works on the principle of friction there is nothing that can be done about this. The $8.95 price is competitive and the free prime shipping makes it a deal.

Surprisingly awesome
When I first ordered this, I of course checked the model(s) the description said was compatible with the Bare Floor Tool, confirmed I could use it, and ordered it without doing further research. I have a stand up Bissell Proheat 2x carpet cleaner with hose attachment, not one of the little spot cleaners or small floor washers (it seems to be compatible with lots of different machines).

Anyway, when it arrived, it came in a wrapped plastic package, no instructions, no nothing; just the Bare Floor Tool. My husband can always install EVERYTHING... so female pride took over (of course, why would I want to ask him for help!!! He always makes everything look so easy, UGH! :P) and I decided, "I can figure this out myself!" I looked it over and couldn't make heads or tails of it.. UNTIL -- I took the small cleaner container off as well as the large water dump on the front. I flipped the machine on it's side, and viola, easy as pie, it clips right on the front of the plastic hood...

Dryer Lint Screen for Whirlpool, Sears, Kenmore, 3390721, W10120998

Not the same as part # 3390721
The felt seal on this part is only about half as high as that on the original part and does not seal as well. Sears says that the parts are interchangeable, but that is not the case.

Nice price. Decent product.
My parent's lint screen on their dryer was literally breaking apart. They are getting up there in their years and i figured because of this they would have probably just ended up buying another dryer because of the lint screen eroding, so i found out the make & model number of it, googled it and did a little bit of shopping. 98% of the time i can find the best price on amazon.com and sure enough, this was a much better price than one of those vacuum replacement part websites.

No complaints about the lint screen, it's similar to the old one but with that plastic part in the middle. Good buy.

Euro Cuisine GY4 Top Tier Yogurt Maker

Making Quart sized jars of yogurt
I used a hacksaw and sawed out the inner plastic where you would place the extra jars and now can make huge batches of yogurt in quart sized canning jars. Great timesaver, since we go through 3-4 quarts of yogurt a week.

Requires a little trial and error, but it can work
I have had the same problems as others. Top tier is too cool. So I drape a towel over the whole thing and rotate the jars from top to bottom about half way through and finally I let the jars that are in the bottom at the end go for an extra hour or two. I check things periodically and when they get stiff they are done. That seems to work. Its kind of a pain, but it beats making yogurt twice as often.

Tier doubles my yogurt without doubling work!
This tier helped lessen the load for me in making lactose-free yogurt. It does seem to be slightly cooler above the tier but the yogurt comes out as well as the yogurt on the bottom.

AE-SELECT 3387747 Electric Dryer Heating Element for Kenmore

Not OEM Part
Part installed fine and seems to work adequately, at least for a few cycles. But, it would have been nice if the description mentioned that this part was not an OEM part.

Update: 11/27/11
The element worked great for about 4 months then burned out. I am going with OEM part this time.

Updated: Broke after 6 months
Update: This burnt out after 6 months. Don't waste your money or you'll be replacing it again. Apparently my lasted a little longer than the others, but I wish I would've paid a little more for a better part.

The item was easily installed. I'm not a repairman, so anyone should be able to do it. For my dryer, 110.8586, it was one screw and two wires. Old one slid out and the new one slid right in. Screwed back in and then reconnected the wires. I tested it out and it was producing a lot of heat. Happy with the price and quick shipping.

Lasted just five Months
I was happy for just five Months and after reading so many customers who have been experiencing the same problem I have come to the conclusion that the quality is lacking in any of these new dryer elements. It's either you buy these elements or buy a new dryer made oversea's which is also made to the same quality standards. What a sad state of affairs. I had to once again take this dryer completely apart to replace the element. The last dryer I bought lasted fifteen years and it was made in the USA. You are lucky if you get more then a year out of any of these elements. Do the research I am not making this up.

toasting the morning away
I specifically wanted a toaster that you could warm a roll on the top as I had used in Europe. This was the closest to what I have used in Germany. Having only used a toaster oven to toast and warm up everything for the last 35 years and nearly burned the house down, I decided maybe we need a basic toaster. This not only looks super cool but it works super well! The toasts come out perfect and evenly toasted. The slots are large enough for bagels and have a bagel setting so that the inside cut toasts and the outside crust gets warm. Great toaster!

Absolutely Stunning
I don't know when buying a toaster became so complicated and so expensive....it seemed like my only options were really cheap and unattractive or very nice but far too expensive. After coming to terms with paying $100 for a toaster, I read all of the reviews on this toaster as well as others in the similar price range and decided to go for it and I'm so happy I did. Don't underestimate how important an attractive toaster is, because unlike other appliances that might eventually find a home in a cabinet, the toaster always requires a proud place of position on the counter. I was super impressed with the looks of the toaster, it looks exactly as pictured, not hard to clean and if you don't use the bun warmer (I haven't yet), it's removable. Beautiful but flawed
I ordered two of these things, because they look great but unfortunately there is a product defect. When you make a piece of toast the inside surface becomes much darker than the outer side. I returned the first toaster thinking it was a one off problem but the second toaster did the same thing. I took some photos to demonstrate but i cannot find a place to upload them. Oh well, order at your own risk.

I had a Gaggia that produced great espresso when I first got it, but recently, it stopped creating any crema whatsoever. Water leaked from the steamer wand and the expresso head. It was time for a replacement.

I studied and studied and studied all the expresso makers and I knew I did not want to spend over $500 for a good pot. My goal was to find a great pot for under that amount. I read every review there is on the internet concerning the Breville 800 ESXL. People love it or hate it but if you read carefully, you may find as I did, that many of those who hate it, did not follow the directions as prescribed by Breville. They treated it like their old pot, however, the Breville 800 is a wonderful pot if used according to the instructions...

Beautifully designed, but missing important elements
From a interface and asthetic point of view, the machine is flawless. It's beautiful and solid, and has many nice touches like an integral storage bin and swiveling steam wand. Having said that, it's missing a few things on the INSIDE that you'd expect from a $400 machine:

For one, it uses a thermoblock. This results in a pressure drop and uneven heating compared to a boiler, which is why there is the need for the double-wall crema system. (I'm referring here to pump machines with boilers, not the cheap steam machines.) This is why you'll find that after brewing you have a soupy sludge instead of the hard dry puck considered an indicator of proper espresso brewing. Update: as pointed out by somebody else, this may be more a function of the lack of three-way valve than indicative of poor pressure or heating. I didn't realize this didn't have a three-way valve, but that's just one more reason to avoid this. Regardless, the weakness of the thermoblock is apparent in the...

(1) UNPLUG the machine every time, like it says in the manual! Why?
The first day I had the machine I assumed that once you turn the machine off in the front panel, it is really off.
Not so, apparently.
One lonely evening, while making love to my machine (just kidding eh!), anyway, quite near the turned off machine in a quiet evening, I could hear a very low humming sound coming from it.
Power unit or whatever, I realized the machine was not really off, and from then on I decided to follow the recommendation in the manual -- which I presumed initially was only for home-safety reasons.
Obviously is not sucking the 1500 watts, but there's still something going on inside, and it's not a caffeinated gerbil!

(2) Vibration and Noise
IMO, it's not noisier than other espresso makers, and it sure is a dead loser against my blender, which my neighbors are probably acquainted...

Ninja MC501 SEARios Slow Cooker

Just about perfect for me
I bought this version of the Ninja because of one of the reviews I read on Amazon. He stated he wasn't going to be doing any baking in his slow cooker so this, much cheaper, version was the perfect one for him.

And I agree. I'm not going to be doing any baking in mine either. It is a great slow cooker. The low heat is low, but not so low that nothing happens. The high is enough higher that things bubble but they certainly do not burn. Kind of a high simmer while the low is just a bit below that.

The other side, the regular cooking side, has low, medium and high heats. The problem with this is that it doesn't heat up fast. And that can be a problem. I've browned ground beef and cooked onions and they do cook. But I have not tried to brown a roast in this pot, which was one of the reasons for buying it in the first place. I think it would work, but I am not sure it gets hot enough. And you would need to wait for the heat to come up before you put the meat in if you...

Not worth the money
Bought this "slow cooker" and it is not worth the money. . . . It cooks too hot and has a steam vent in the glass lid which allows all the liquid to cook out. Also, after using it twice the inside of the non-cooking pot is already becoming scratched. I am taking this back.

We love this slow cooker. Being able to sear and/or brown the meat right in it is great!

We used it last weekend and it worked perfectly. Love that you can set the timer and then it goes right into "auto-warm" mode!

The Teflon coating makes it a breeze to clean too.

Work also with hot liquids and an impulse sealer
These are my favorite bags for sous vide and freezer food storage. I use them with an impulse sealer similar to 8" Impulse Sealer - Cellophane Bag sealer, whenever I have sufficient liquid in the bag to expel the air. This purchase pair would be justified for freezing stock, alone, if you cannot imagine life without frozen stock always on hand. And stock is the easiest application to learn: One fills each bag with 2 to 3 cups of stock, using a yogurt container with the bottom cut out as a funnel. (It takes a smaller size to fit this bag.) Now place the impulse sealer by the edge of a counter, and hang the partially filled vacuum bag off the edge of the counter, draping the top portion over the sealer bar. Now squeeze the bag to coax out the air (setting up the sealer with a faint tip, and less pressure smoothing the high end encourages a path for the air, but isn't strictly necessary with practice). Now smooth out...

HAAN SS-22A Multiforce Plus

Steam mop with super powers!
I am a HUGE steam cleaning fan, particularly steam mopping. It beats the heck out of traditional mopping and there are no cleaners or chemicals to buy, no dirty mop water to deal with, and my floors are really clean with no cleaner residue. The only issue I've ever come across with regular steam mops is that they are not able to clean grout between tiles. That's why I was delighted to have the opportunity to review the Haan Multiforce.

This steam mop is different because it not only steams - it scrubs! Instead of a single, stationary steam surface on the bottom, it has two steam surfaces which move back and forth in a scrubbing motion, all the while delivering loads of steam. Haan calls it CR-motion, and it's crazy fast and forceful. It really does scrub! (Because of how quickly the two steam plates move, the unit is fairly loud when using the scrubbing action.)

It's called the multiforce because it steams, scrubs, buffs and polishes. This is the first steam mop...

I never thought I'd say cleaning the floors was fun but this morning it was. This cleaner has scrubbers on the bottom that are surprisingly vigorous, pulling the cleaner along all on its own. All I have to do is guide it along to the right place.

It is absolutely perfect for someone with rotator or shoulder issues, arthritis, or just wants to make life easy, because the machine does all the work. My floors are very clean and I feel like I did nothing at all, as opposed to the work that other steam cleaners or a mop requires, all that heaving back and forth.

For all its power and efficacy, this unit is slim and not at all heavy, easy to maneuver. The body is low profile enough to slip underneath my kitchen cabinets, which is awesome! And the pads extend past the body of the unit, so that they give the baseboards a nice...

I have owned almost all of the floor steamers on the market. When my last one quit steaming, I started researching all of the latest models, trying to find one that fit our needs. We have marble floors in most of the common areas in our home. With four children, two cats and one dog, it is a challenge to keep them clean. I wanted a floor steamer that would get hot enough to sanitize (212 degrees), and be able to hold enough water without constantly refilling. The Haan Multiforce Plus does just that. I can get a good twenty minutes of usage before having to refill the water. It is easy to push while the machine scrubs away nicely on the floor. It dries almost instantly with no streaks and the floors are left with a nice shine. I have also used it on our wood floors with the same results.

The only complaints that I have about the machine is the length of the cord. It is ridiculously short. I find that I have to keep unplugging and plugging it back in as I move to different...

Jack Lalanne's JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer

The good, the bad, and the ugly...
First off, let me admit to the fact that I've never owned any kind of juicer before, this one is the first.

We were given the Jack LaLanne Stainless Juicer as a gift from someone who already had one and loved it. I had modestly high hopes for it, not being a big powered-kitchen-gadget fan; but we also have been trying to improve our diets due and lose some weight, so the gift was rather timely to meet that end. I honestly knew nothing about this product until I pulled it out of the box at home. We'd gone to the local big-box store and bought a bunch of stuff to put in the machine and try it out: Kiwis, mangoes, carrots, tomatoes, apples, oranges, pears, ginger root, celery and pineapple.

The Good:

Out of the box I got the impression that this was a sturdy product. All of the parts are fairly simple, that means less stuff to break or clean to me. It assembled in a snap, I didn't even look at the directions (typical guy...I know). Upon firing up...

A Healthy Lifestyle Change
Is it hard to eat your vegetables and have enough fruit servings in a day? It was for me; so I decided to buy another juicer. My last juicer had a very small spout and you had to cut up everything before you put it into the juicer; and it was extremely noisy. I got rid of it because it did not measure up.

I purchased the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer and have been very pleased with it. I read the other reviews and I will try to respond to them as well based upon my own experiences. First, for me the juicer is excellent. I juice fruits and most vegetables. You have to insert soft vegetables followed by hard vegetables for it to work optimally. I have had no problems following the directions which indicate that this works best.

I have made some wonderful drinks with the Power Juicer. Here is one called the Energy Boost Drink which I love:

Don't buy this--very bad machine
When I heard that Jack's machine would take whole apples, I seemed to have lost all sense and ordered his juicer, which I believed would be an upgrade from my Mr. Juiceman. It's time consuming to cut products to fit the juicer. What Jack fails to mention in his ads--his chute does take apples, but only small ones, the ones you usually don't buy. Thus, I'm still cutting products, same as usual.

I juice all kinds of fruits and veggies and have over many years. If you are new to the experience of juicing, you will quickly learn that better made, more professional models are $400-500. Thus, you must choose these lower cost models, that despite their glitz are largely made of plastic. The only thing going for this Jack LaLanne model is that they used good sense in making the plastic black. Despite every good cleaning, white plastic models take on fruit/veggie stains that over time are very difficult to remove.

BISSELL Opticlean Accessory Pack, 59H6

A decent price.
Sadly, vacuum bags are just plain expensive, but I haven't found a better price than this! Indeed, I found the bags for the same price elsewhere. But Amazon will ship for free when I'm ordering another item as well and the other sites didn't give you the filters also.

So this is definitely a better price than I can find anywhere else! And with "subscribe and save," it's an even better deal. With all the dog hair in my house, we can definitely use bag delivery on a regular basis.

Hoover HOOVER 40110013 FILTER, NANOLITE, PRIMARY

Filter working great
I clean my main and pre filter screen regularly. But until recently, until Nano-light came along there were no filters available for my UH20060 Bagless Quick Vacuum. I have had it almost a year and it is still working great. I was looking for new filters as a preventive measure. If you can't get here, you can get it through the Hoover.com website, but they do charge for shipping. The shipping is fairly reasonable. This filter is also washable. So try washing it first and let it dry in your dish rack or on top of a dry towel over night.

I also went to a beauty supply store and bought an inexpensive "hair coloring brush" for around $1 (stiffer brissels work better) to clean between the pleats of the main filter. Get a brush with a small shaft or neck with a rounded end. Found that the handle end will "scrap away" "dried clay" in the filter pleats without putting a hole in the filter. Do this before washing the filter in the sink. It keeps the "clay type" dust/dirt from...

Hoover filter for Nanolite Vaccum Cleaner
I love my Hoover Nanolite vaccum cleaner but realized that I would need additional filters at some time. Of course, they do not carry them at the discount store where it was purchased.

I now have a backup AND a source to buy more, so I can vaccum to my heart's content.

Bought the vacuum cleaner a few years ago at Walmart and they had stop selling the filters. These were a great deal and allow me to keep using my fairly new vacuum

Polder 90616-05 Wall Mount for Ironing Board and Iron, Chrome

pain to install - but it works
I don't usually write review on Amazon products, but had to weigh in on this hopefully to save other people some frustration. First, let me say this product does the job... it hangs an ironing board and iron nicely on a wall to save space. BUT... be prepared for a MAJOR hassle to get it installed. As others have noted, the screws that come with this product are not long enough to make it through the tubing to engage the drywall screw. If you decide to but this product, be prepared for a trip to your local Home Depot or hardware store to get hardware that actually works. I recommend Buildex E-Z Ancor Self-Drilling Drywall Anchor. Comes in a package of 4. Then you'll need to get a separate package of #8 x 2.5" screws.

The installation instructions are useless. A picture is NOT worth 1000 words in this case. Make sure you have a level available.

Great alternative for large based irons
My iron is a Rowenta brand which tends to have a large metal surface/base. For that reason it would not fit in other ironing board organizers that required sliding the base into a slot. This organizer allows you to store the iron by it's handle. I have my organizer mounted behind a door. Because of my mounting location, the only drawback to this organizer is caused by my brand/size of iron ... it sticks out far enough from the wall to bump into the back of the door (but only slightly).

Warning, grow a third hand before attempting this installation
Ay carumba! This is the only ironing board holder I could find that would accommodate the Rowenta board that I purchased during a Martha Stewart induced lapse of judgment. This thing assembles, yes, assembles, easily and quickly but doesn't stay assembled through the mounting procedure and kept popping apart on me. Also, as someone mentioned, the crappy wall plugs they include are a joke; I ran out to buy the screw-in wall board plugs and finally got it installed using those. The iron rest is too narrow to hold my iron.

Breville BEW600XL Hot Wok

Cooks like a dream!
It comes in the factory box, so if it is a gift, be aware of this as it might ruin the surprise. The quality and sturdiness of this appliance is evident immediately out of the box.

The instruction book has a bit of a recipe book in the front of it, so you might check that out if you don't normally read instruction books.

It is very straightforward and easy to use. It heats up very quickly, and sears to perfection. The directions say to let it heat for 10 minutes before using but I've not waited that long.

I love the way the plug has an "O" in it so you can hook a finger in to unplug it. I wish all appliances were like that! It's a cord of decent length too, and it's well insulated. The top detaches from the base. I had no problem detaching mine. Reattaching, now that was a bit of a problem until I realized you have to PUSH DOWN on the turning handle and then turn, like a childproof cap- THEN it was easy.

Perfect family size
Generally dinner time at my house is our adult son, our teenage daughter, my husband and myself. This wok is perfectly sized for a nice amount of stir-fry with lots of veggies and leftovers to pack in lunches.
Pros:
It easily fits 2 lbs of cut-up chicken and 3 bags of frozen vegetables.
Good non-stick surface, use wood or bamboo utensils.
The base detaches the pan very easily for cleaning up.
The lid has a vent, turn the knob to open it.
The knob doesn't get too hot to handle while you're cooking which absolutely thrilled me.
The probe fits in easily and securely.
The cord itself is long enough that you don't need to be right on an outlet to use it.
It's a grounded plug
The plug has a hole in it to put your finger through and pull it out. Even better, that design feature is big enough for my husband's fingers.

I don't even like to cook, but I love Asian food so much so I was delighted to get a wok. I wanted to try out all the recipes that I go to Thai, Chinese and Japanese restaurants to buy. I'd never heard of Breville's brand name, but the product looked pretty easy to use. In person, it's pretty good quality and lighter than it looks.

Cons: The screw on the top came off way too easily. It swirled around to open and close, but I didn't really see the point of it having the little tip in the top. At one point, the screw came out altogether, and I had to guess my way back to putting the accessories for the top back together. I'm not quite sure if I did it right because the instructions don't guide you through it.

The lock on the bottom of the wok is a pain. Once you cook something, you either have to lift the entire wok in order to pour the food into a dish or tip the wok to the side to unlock the wok. However, the instructions say to turn the wok over completely to...

Not Easy To Install
Be sure that the clutch is ok before ordering these belts. Then if you're not mechanically inclined don't even think about it. I guess it's very hard because it has no instructions on how to disassemble the clutch, which you have to do to get the belts in. The only plus out of this experience is that it has the belt installing tools that makes it sooooo much easier to install the belts to the motor and brush. Spend the money and buy the clutch assembly...... Install time is cut by at least 80%. God Luck.... Have Fun.

Totally wrong belts for my vacumn. Totally wasted my money. Had to go directly to Dyson to find out you cant change the belt for that model. It only comes in a clutch assembly.
